- BEAUTY BLOG AND A DERMATOLOGIST -I get this often - " You are blogging on MakeUp ?? You must be dumb ! Oh you are a doctor too ?? That's weird " . Are you just a "student of dermatology" or a "real doctor" ?? -- Thank you dear:) Yes am a "real doctor doing my post grad in dermatology" -- Is this a contraindication on blogging about MakeUp O_o I got irritated initially, now I simply ROFL. I am girl , I Love makeup and beauty , I Love my Profession.
- FOLLOWERS / PAGEVIEWS - I Love my followers..why? Because more than anything else it gives my confidence an emotional boost. You Like my post ...me happy..You comment on my post..me happy.. That's it ! I am not concerned how many followers /page views others have !
- FOLLOW ME I WILL FOLLOW YOU - I did this . I do this. If I Like a blog I follow it first and yes, let the owner know that am following her.(Refer to tab 3 ) But I DO NOT *sugar coated* "follow me first, so that I can follow you too honey"
- FREE PR PRODUCTS - This is going to sound "cliche" Yes, sometimes I get free stuff for reviews and I make it a point to mention in all my posts. But I give my honest opinion..otherwise I think this blog won't have been running on false recommendations. But there's also something I don't like about PR stuffs.. they send you whatever is newly launched without recognising your skin owes or concern.
- COPY PASTE - Though I think (*touchwood) there has been no copyright issues from this blog but I have read several posts from my fellow bloggers that many girls copy paste reviews . WHY?? If you have the product in your hand..you can use it and write your own review na? Why is the need to depend on any body else? MakeUp Looks and other images - Please respect the effort we put -- Please don't STEAL
- ADVERTISEMENT/ MONEY EARNING - I won't mind if I can earn something out of my blog!But not through sponsored reviews. I had google adsense, but my pin never reached me.. so google removed advs from my site as of now.
Now for the "saucy" part ...
- I came across few blogs, who promote PR Stuffs ..It's OK just if you could put a disclaimer. You know you can actually tell when they do these promotional posts and I feel it's kind of misleading to readers. It's same like the TV advs.. it just confuses !
- This is particularly what I have seen in fashion blogs/ outfit posts - It's perfectly alright to show off that pricey aldo, gucci, jimmy choo.. I drool , I lust , I want.. but hello everyday ? No seriously am a poor girl here, surviving on a merge college stipend.. I would be more happy if you can dig out some flattering stuff from Pantaloon's, Shoppers Stop, Bigbazar and flea markets ! .. hmm may be I should start one such blog with my flabby abs :P :D
- Giveaways for me are celebration of some achievement (blog wise). I really hate to see so many fake profiles doing rounds in every giveaway ! Who doesn't want Free goodies ?? Even I do. But please don't stoop to such low levels ! It's pathetic ! I won't mind a compact group of followers who actually love my blog rather than few hundred fakes.
Phew ! I think the whole post has gone kind of "mumbo jumbo" Am writing this for a while now and my brain is now screaming for some glucose asap. Please excuse spelling mistakes or any bad write up ! If you can truly understand what I am trying to say.. my job is done !
