Though I liked The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Shampoo, I didn't buy it after my second bottle as its conditioner was a big flop. But I am always on the lookout for shampoo with fewer or no chemicals.
I came to know about the brand Forest Essentials only through this beauty blogging world. I am really impressed with their natural ingredients and packaging.
During my last vacation, I hardly got time to visit Forest Essentials outlet in Chennai. But I had an urge (still have) to try at least few of their products. So I ordered this shampoo and its corresponding conditioner online.
Claims and Ingredients:
Price: Rs. 680 for 200 ml
My take with the product:
It is runny. It absolutely looks like honey. It lathers well.
I like its fragrance and can smell both honey & vanilla. But there are some other additives too.. It is neither mild nor heavy. It stays on my hair for more than a day.
It comes in a cute and lovely bottle with screw cap. I love its packaging; it’s absolutely travel friendly.
It does remove dirt effectively but more shampoo is needed if one has applied more oil.
I’ve the habit of applying more oil almost for every wash. Initially I didn’t like it much because I didn’t feel it does anything to my dry hair. Also I felt unimpressed as it does not remove oil effectively and so I started using this only when I’ve oiled my hair less. Somehow I wanted to use this shampoo and could not throw it off as it is expensive.
After a month and to my surprise, I realized this shampoo has changed my hair cleansing routine. Nowadays I apply more oil only after two washes with less oil.
This works slowly but one can expect good results. My hair is considerably soft now and my frizz has reduced to a larger extent. I’ve skipped its conditioner many times but still I find my hair better. I think it is because of the goodness of honey.
My hair is curly and thin. I am very much impressed by the volume it provides to my hair.

Final Verdict:
I like The body shop’s Rainforest Shampoo Moisture shampoo for dry hair and have been using it for a while. But somehow I feel this is better because of the volume it provides to my hair and a feeling that I use an Indian Luxurious brand.
I highly recommend this to dry, thin and non heavy oiled hair. This can remove oil, but requires more shampoo and time. I’ll repurchase this for sure but during my next visit to Chennai.
