The problem I generally have with sunscreens/sunblocks is that they make me sweat badly. So, whenever I buy one I look out for something which doesn't make my skin oily and sweaty !
In a quest for a light weight sunscreen I came across Palsons Drugs Sunmate SPF 30+ Gel Cream. And I am totally happy with it. I feel this is one of the best sunscreen for Oily or Combination skin available in India !

What I Love about Sunmate SPF 30 +Gel Cream :
- Does not make my skin oily. Even in humid summer of July-August, it did not make me a sweaty pig!
- It's fragrance free. (though i wouldn't mind a lil bit of fragrance BUT do you know one very common reason of allergic dermatitis is the fragrance in our cosmetics! )
- Its very light weight.
- Once you apply , it does gives a powdery finish as claimed. No sticky "chip chipa " feel at all
- Has an SPF value of 30 and a PA + ( have you read the insider on the number game yet? NO ?? *spank* GO HERE RIGHT NOW ! )
- Water resistant . Yes, you need to remove it with a make up remover later.
- No irritation or break outs .
- No parabens.
- Full Ingredient List mentioned.
- Travel friendly tube packaging with a screw cap. You can easily keep one in your everyday purse.
- Available throughout India in Pharmaceutical stores/ medicine shops.
What I don't Like about Sunmate SPF 30 + Gel Cream:
- 325 INR for just 30gms !
- If you have a very dry skin, you need to apply a moisturizer underneath. ( I usually apply my day cream first, let it get absorbed .. apply sunscreen..wait for 20mins before going out )
