H2O Spa Sea Salt Hydrating Body Butter Review

This is one of the best creams that I have ever used, if not the best.  When I got it, I was wondering if it was just another brand with tall claims and decided to use it in the kitchen. No, not for cooking but to wash my hands after working with water.  I noticed that I did not have to top up with the cream by my bedside and then actually got up and took notice of the product.

“From a vibrant marine ecosystem, we infuse your skin with the deepest source of life, strength and vitality.  Through careful research and constant discovery, we isolate the most efficacious varieties, unlocking their power and distilling it into our scientifically proven formulas”.

What the company claims

“Highly emollient shea butter and coconut oils deeply penetrate the skin to soothe, soften and hydrate. Powerful antioxidants from Green and Paraguay teas repair and protect skin cells from damage due to environmental stress.  Moisture-rich marine botanicals, including Wakame, Sea Lettuce, and Sea Fennel provide deep, oil-free hydration for visibly smooth, radiant skin.  Oceanside scent, infused with notes of green tea, imparts a hint of fresh fragrance”

Price: INR 1190  for Quantity: 240 ml

Ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Octyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, PEG-100 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Carbomer, Fragrance (Parfum), Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, Allantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Benzyl Salicylate, Undaria Pinnatifida Extract, Crithmum Maritimum Extract, Ulva Lactuca Extract, Ilex Paraguariensis Leaf Extract

H2o uses treasures from marine life in their products.  I guess that makes them stand out unlike most brands that use plant and animal ingredients.  The product is light cream in colour and goes on really smooth.  It sinks into the skin without a fuss and gives your skin a great feeling.  Doesn’t feel like plastic, nor does it feel oily.  It feels just perfect on me.  I would suggest it for both oily and dry skinned women.  I once used it on my face and thankfully had no breakouts.  I’ve used it on my lips too and had nothing but soft lips the next morning.

It smells so fresh like the ocean and lifts the spirits instantly.  I love the smell; something is very different about it.  The packaging is also great and hygienic.  You will get a good quality and durable plastic tube with a screw on cap. The cap can get lost and that is why I don’t like such covers.  Anyways, that is a too small a con for this amazing product.  You can also use this cream during your pregnancy to help prevent stretch marks.  It is suggested by the brand itself.

H2O Plus has freestanding stores and retail locations in India's style epi-centers —New Delhi and Mumbai.  You can also find it online easily.

Swatch :

Pros:
•A good product by a reputed brand
•Uses marine life as its main ingredients
•Suitable for dry and oily skinned women
•Suitable to prevent stretch marks for pregnant women
•Doesn’t cause breakouts if used on the face
•Sinks into the skin easily
•Invigorating fresh smell

Cons:
•Pricey I guess

My Rating :I’d give it a 4/5

Final Verdict : One of the best creams I have used.  It’s expensive but totally worth it.  It does what it claims and makes it a pleasure to use.  It suits most skin tones and has some fabulous ingredients.  What more could you want from a cream?
